Toyota

The seats of the Toyota Verso are very good for the front five passengers, the collapsible bag chairs are so much harder and less comfortable. The Toyota driver has a special arrangement of the instruments in store, the dials are located centrally in the dash but are directed to the driver. Behind the wheel you'll find nothing more than plastic, that looks really nice course, but according to Toyota improve this setup visibility. We were not so to such unconventional arrangement, the onboard computer was sitting there very far from the driver, and the values were therefore not always easy to read. Also unfortunate is the fact that the current consumption on a sliding scale was shown, this can not exactly see how much the car consumes.

The wheel itself was well in hand but the function buttons on the steering wheel were awkwardly positioned and could not easily be pressed. Well good, while the advanced multimedia system with GPS that can be operated via a touchscreen, the system includes radio, CD and has a hard disk that you can lose your music. There is a GPS system that works very well with the ability to connect to your mobile phone via Bluetooth. Finally, through an AUX input was chosen to be an iPod or MP3 player to the system to. The sound quality of the system was above average and certainly meets the screaming children to drown.

Toyota Corolla Verso in intensive thought and safety that provides seven standard airbags, ESP and ABS. Instead of parking sensors Toyota opts for a reversing camera which is integrated into the multimedia system. True lovers of the system will never be partly because it is based were not indicated where the lines would move Verso.

Starting our Toyota Verso went with the optional smart entry & start system that includes keyless go. This system is certainly useful but absolutely necessary as we do not. We drove the 2.0 D-4D diesel engine with 126 hp and 310 Nm torque, it is sufficient to motorization in 11.3 seconds to 100 km / h and sprinting to a top speed of 185 km / h to reach. For everyday use the 2 liter diesel proved to be insufficient, we had difficulty with, though, that consumption was still higher than we had ourselves to expect. Our test consumption was 7.5 litres/100 km, while at the specified combined consumption 5.6 liters per 100 kilometer on lies. A true champion of economy thanks to his size he will never be present but whose standard switch indicator closely monitors will certainly closer to the target consumption.

Toyota
Toyota Blue carwe think we automatically say MPV maximum storage space, here in the Toyota Verso considered that. Thus, the glove box divided into two parts where one of the two sections serves as a cooler for drinks and one large enough for all kinds of stuff. In addition, we found the doors again and spacious storage compartments under the armrest can easily sit two-liter bottles, handy for a trip with the whole family. Furthermore, the Verso on an eyeglass holder and a convex mirror that helps the children in the rear control without having to look back.

Given its high center of gravity and his pompous dimensions of the Verso we did not expect that he would break records in terms of handling. Yet we found the driving characteristics of the balanced Verso. The course does not surprise us that the MPV rather sloppy in the turns came about but never really did bother. The Verso also respond very directly to the commands that are transmitted through the steering wheel. At low speeds, however, we noticed that the power-assisted steering was numb as it were, at higher speeds were all much more balanced. When driving we found some more reasonable rijwind on, something characteristic of a car that does not immediately show an example of aerodynamics is. The whole although it remained comfortably within the limits of acceptability.

Toyota to unveil second hybrid model

Riding on a high wave of demand for more fuel efficient vehicles, Toyota is planning to produce a new hybrid-only model to the tune of 100,000 units a year. The planned hybrid will be ToyotaĆ¢€™s second dedicated hybrid model after the popular Prius. While the Prius features a 1.5 liter gasoline engine, the new hybrid model will feature a 2 to 2.5 liter engine. It will join the ranks of other hybrid models in ToyotaĆ¢€™s lineup including the Prius, Camry Hybrid, and the Highlander Hybrid.

Toyota Camry

Not the first car you think of when it comes to extreme modification, but obviously it works. The Front Doors gained a few inches and the rear doors were molded into the body. The handles and mirros were shaved to make a sleeker look. The graphics were done by OG Abel and the colors came from Kolor Kings in California. The interior is custom made fiberglass and hand-stitched seats all topped off with a sound system from Pioneer Audio.

Toyota Alessandro Volta

The hybrid takes a supercar disguise for promoting a new way of designing the environment friendly car of the future. “We have entered a new era. We have created a hybrid that has nothing to do with the typical electric power vehicle which so often flaunts rather unappealing characteristics”, Fabrizio Giugiaro asserts. “When creating the volumes of this eco supercar, the idea at the back of my mind was to recapture the stylish features of the central-engine models, which I had already used with the BMW Nazca, the Alfa Romeo Scighera and the Volkswagen V 12, to demonstrate that if a racing shell can combine a “clean” and innovative propulsion system, the headroom for creating and designing environmentally-friendly sedan and compact cars of the future would be huge.”

Mindful of this, Alessandro Volta, the Italian physicist and discoverer of the voltaic pile, was called to bear witness to an exciting stage of automotive technological research, a momentum placing demands on the depth of resources required from automobile manufacturers to meet head-on pressing environmental issues such as gas emissions and the unrelenting consumption of oil-derivative products.

Italdesign-Giugiaro could not have chosen a more appropriate partner than Toyota for venturing into this theme of thought. As confirmed by Giorgetto Giugiaro: “We have been working with Toyota for more than 25 years. We are proud to have worked towards putting in place a hybrid prototype because the advanced expertise and commitment of the Nagoya Carmaker to mixed wheeldrive moves beyond day-to-day boundaries.”

Toyota FT-86 Sports

Post by: Automotive

- FT-86 Sports Concept, Toyota’s vision for a future sports car
- European debut at Geneva motor show
- Designed and engineered to capture the spirit of the renowned Corolla AE86 of the 1980s
- Front-engine, rear-wheel drive format
- Lightweight, compact and aerodynamically efficient body

Celica, MR2, Supra, Corolla AE86: Toyota’s great driver-focused sports cars of the past have inspired its vision for a future-generation concept model that makes its European debut at the Geneva motor show.

In creating the FT-86 (Future Toyota-86) Sports Concept, Toyota has directly referenced the excitement and fundamental fun-to-drive quality that characterised the Corolla AE-86. In its day the AE86 became a must-have model for rallying and circuit racing, with its front-engine, rear-wheel drive powertrain, compact dimensions, light weight, impeccable balance and strong power to weight ratio. Even more than 20 years on from the end of production, it remains a popular choice with privateer rally teams.

Toyota Previews Auris Hybrid with Pre-Production Concept

Toyota Previews Auris Hybrid with Pre-Production Concept

Toyota today dropped an official photograph of the Auris HSD Full Hybrid Concept, which will be displayed for the very first time at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. In essence, it's a pre-production model lightly guised as a concept that previews Toyota's first European-built full hybrid that will be produced in the UK with sales scheduled to start in mid-2010.

The Japanese automaker said that the Auris Hybrid represents a milestone in the firm's strategy as it will be the first mainstream Toyota (obviously, the company doesn't count the Prius as a mainstream model...) to benefit from the company's full hybrid technology and the first step in the deployment of Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) across the company's model range.

This means that like the Prius, the Auris Hybrid will most likely be able to run on its electric motor(s), the internal combustion engine or a combination of the two. There's been no hint from Toyota on the type of engine that will be used on the Auris Hybrid.

We've only got a single photo of the car to go by, but it is evident that the hybrid version of the Auris will feature a number of specific exterior styling cues to differentiate it from the standard model.

These include the reshaped headlights with blue rings, a unique grille with a highlighted Toyota logo and the redesigned front bumper. We also see that the Auris Hybrid's rooftop features what appears to be a solar panel.

Full details and a comprehensive image gallery will follow closer to the Frankfurt Show opening.

Redesigned 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Scooped Again

Redesigned 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Scooped Again

For the second time this month, the facelifted 2010MY versions of the Land Cruiser V8's more compact 3-door and 5-door siblings which are known in many markets as the Land Cruiser Prado (not sold in the States) have been photographed undisguised. These latest pictures, which made it into an Arabic site, confirm that the 2010 Land Cruiser Prado gets a redesigned front fascia inspired by Toyota's latest European models like the Avensis along with more heavily profiled wheel arches and new tail lamps.

Not much else in known about the 2010 Land Cruiser but we suspect that Toyota may also have refreshed the luxury off-roader's interior. In most markets, the current generation Land Cruiser Prado is available with a choice of two powertrains, a 4.0-liter V6 petrol engine producing 249 horsepower and a 3.0-liter four-banger turbo diesel that cranks out 173 horsepower.

2010 Land Cruiser Facelift Photos Appear on Arabic Site

2010 Land Cruiser Facelift Photos Appear on Arabic Site

2010 Toyota Land CruiserWhile Toyota has already revealed an updated version of its larger Land Cruiser V8 (also known with the 200 moniker) in 2007, the smaller, latest generation Land Cruiser 3- and 5-door models that are sold in some markets as the Land Cruiser Prado, haven't changed much since their initial introduction. But today, a set of photographs, supposedly showing the facelifted 2010 Land Cruiser Prado, appeared on an Arabic Toyota enthusiast forum.

W2010 Toyota Land Cruisere only have the front and back ends to go by, but chances are there won't be any changes to the Land Cruiser's profile. Compared to the current model (pictured on the right), the SUV featured here gets a reworked fascia that appears to adopt styling cues from Toyota's latest European models like the Avensis. At the back, the Land Cruiser Prado boasts a new set of tail lights plus a revised tail gate design.

It remains to be seen if the vehicle featured in these photos is indeed the facelfited 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser.

In Europe, the current Land Cruiser is offered with two engine options, a 4.0-liter V6 petrol with 249 horsepower and a 3.0-liter turbo diesel that makes 173 horsepower.
